A Caring Chula Vista Therapist

Hi, I’m Christy

I help people heal from childhood wounds and painful past memories so you can find peace in the present and move forward with your life.

I offer therapy in person at my office in Eastlake in addition to online counseling in California. I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and other trauma-focused specialties.

How I Provide Compassionate Therapeutic Care

Through therapy we will explore what you are experiencing whether it be anxiety, depression, grief & loss, or trauma. As a trauma-informed therapist, I focus on what happened to you rather than what’s wrong with you. Additionally, as a Christian therapist, I am able to incorporate a faith-based perspective for those who request it. If our faith-backgrounds are different from each other, I want you to know that I respect you, your values and beliefs and will not impose my views or personal opinions on you or bring them into our therapeutic work together.

During your therapy, we will work to identify and address the root of your issues, look for harmful patterns that are no longer serving you and look for practical solutions so that you can leave your therapy feeling transformed, healed and restored. My role is to assist you in developing the skills and tools you need to more effectively cope with all the life is throwing your way. People describe me as warm, kind, genuine, and a good listener. My top 5 strengths are consistency, harmony, belief, maximizer, and connectedness.

My experiences have deepened my interest in and understanding of trauma and it’s lasting effect on our lives which has increased my passion to help people heal.
